If you are concerned with the someone's ability to remove the blanket on their own without assistance, we do not recommend letting them using the blanket without supervision and putting it away and out of reach when you are not home.
The DREAMality Blanket should not be used by children under three years old or by any individual or pet that weigh less than 50 pounds due to the following potential hazards:
Potential Suffocation Hazard: The DREAMality Blanket should be used with care. To minimize safety risks, please ensure that the user can remove the blanket on their own, without any assistance. For children, individuals with disabilities, and the elderly, the guardian or caregiver will need to use discretion as to whether-or-not the DREAMality Blanket can be used without risk. The DREAMality Blanket should never be used as a form of punishment or restraint. Failure to follow these instructions could result in suffocation.
Potential Choking Hazard: The glass beads used to weight the DREAMality Blanket may be a choking hazard for young children. To protect against this, please ensure young children do not use blankets that are damaged, as the likelihood of poly-pellets becoming accessible is greater. We recommend checking for damages before and after putting your blanket in the washing machine.
HOW DO I USE THE DREAMALITY WEIGHTED BLANKET? CAN IT BE SHARED?
You may use your Gravity Blanket in a multitude of ways - there is no right way to sleep underneath the blanket. Additionally, the Gravity Blanket is meant to be a personal grounding experience so it was designed and sized for individual use and not a bed size.
We do not recommend trying to share with a partner because each blanket is based on the user’s body weight (~10%) and it must be evenly distributed over that one person to be effective. Sharing can change the efficacy of the Gravity Blanket.
