Our recommendation is to select a blanket weight that is around 8-12% of the intended user’s body weight, unless you strongly feel you have either used weighted blankets before, or are sure you prefer a heavier or lighter weight sensation.
If you are in between sizes, we recommend selecting the lower of the two weights as the typical customer exchange is for a blanket of a lower weight.
If you have joint, knee, leg, back or any other muscular or nerve pains, please choose a lower weight.
The 41" x60" weighs 10 lbs and is intended for Twin/Full sized beds. it is best for small children or petite adults > 50 lbs but less than 100 lbs.
The 48" x 72" weighs 15 lbs and is intended for a Twin/Full sized beds. It is best for single adult > 100 lbs or child use.
The 60" x 80" weighs 20 lbs and is intended for Queen sized beds. It can be be used alone in an adult > 150 lbs or shared with two adults or children.
The 80" x 86" weighs 25 lbs and is intended for King sized beds. It can be used alone in an adult >200 lbs or shared with two adults or children.
The heavy blanket is not recommended for anyone under the weight of 50 lbs, or anyone who cannot safely remove the blankets on their own without assistance.
